Ad Libitum

“Your level of success will seldom exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.” Jim Rohn

What is the Ad Libitum Project?

In 2019 I started working to a digital project in which the two sides of every musician are finally and happily be joint: musical development and personal development are constantly growing, collaborating side by side an complementing each other, like Yin and Yang in the Tao.

How can I join?

By learning some Italian! Ad Libitum digital courses are in Italian only for now, so get started with the most musical language in the world, or feel free to ask for a translation in the future by contacting me via email.

What people say about my digital courses

Before discovering Cristina Cavalli's course, I felt the need - in my return to music after so many years - for a traced track, a centering that would put order in my ways of approaching the study of the instrument and the world of music in general. ChangEnergy, through her clear and comprehensive videos, through Cristina's clear and pleasant voice, has provided me with precious tools to analyze my past musical history, evaluate repertoire choices, organize my study effectively, face the many fears related to memory and to the public. During the succession of videos, I thought more and more strongly that if something even vaguely similar had existed in the past, perhaps my story and that of many musicians would have been different! Cristina has always supported me with availability and I found it very convenient to use it also via audio, which allowed me to listen to the contents several times as I walked. I highly recommend it to all musicians and, if it were possible, I would make it a compulsory basic course in all conservatories and music schools. I recommend it to all musicians, because it is full of advice and suggestions, suitable for all levels; maestro Cristina with patience, dedication and altruism clearly explains each step regarding learning the piano, making her experience available to help us students or simple enthusiasts have a 360-degree view of the study of piano and music.

I felt the need to see music and piano study from a new perspective, I was looking for new ideas to improve myself and this course gave me more self-confidence and provided me with a good study method; it is very easy to use, divided into modules, there are no time limits and this means that it can be followed at any time. I've been studying the flute since I was little, I'm not a professional but music has always been an important part of my life anyway. I was absolutely not satisfied with my results, I was in a stalemate, by now I thought I would never overcome certain obstacles. I was wrong, I just needed someone who knew the solution to that kind of problems (much more common than I thought) and above all had the uncommon skills and abilities to teach it to others. Cristina is very good at this, it is a pleasure to listen to her! The course is very rich in content, it is easy to understand and in the weekly live coaching meetings there is the possibility to directly ask for clarifications, it is also interesting to know the answers to the questions of the other participants. I think the ChangEnergy course has been a very good investment.

I'm an actor and director and, although I'm not directly involved in music as a professional musician can be, I feel I can say without any exaggeration that ChangeEnergy Music Practice is truly a rare pearl. The ideas and paths of reflection are absolutely common and can be shared also in my profession and in my artistic and personal path. Regarding my personal experience: often, as artists, we are convinced that we (no longer) need anything other than our Art itself, guiltily neglecting all the eminently "practical" aspects that make that art become usable, concrete, and which increases in power, efficiency and effectiveness. Sometimes you really need an "external intervention" to restore some order among our "tools of the trade", and this course was, and it really came at the right time. Cristina is an artist of rare intelligence and pedagogical ability. From the various modules you perceive a very uncommon sincerity and intellectual honesty, typical of those who have really experienced what you are teaching and transmitting on themselves. Every single indication is precious, presented with clarity and calmness, with the most correct, effective and understandable words. The videos go straight to the essentials with extremely practical and direct advice, without unnecessary frills or special effects. Furthermore, the worksheets prove to be a really useful supplementary tool to fix the concepts on which you are working even more strongly. As a theater pedagogue, I particularly appreciate the ability to master the "lâcher prize" technique, i.e. knowing how to "let go" at the right moment (letting the pupil continue with his own feet) and then pick it up again (to make him advance a little further towards the good direction), without forcing it unnecessarily. In short, a course to always have in your personal toolbox, especially in the moments of life when we most need to "retune our instruments". Thank you very much.
